Description: Vintage “Radio Mirror” Magazine, July 1937, Vol 8 No 3 Radio Mirror Magazine (later known as Radio and Television Mirror) was a fan magazine for radio listeners and later TV viewers that included profiles of the stars, visits to radio and television studios, and program listings. The early years in the 1930s showed the interaction of motion pictures, recordings, the stage, radio and even politics. The role of radio in World War II is well covered in the 1940’s, and by the 1950’s the focus shifts to television and a new generation of personalities. Radio Mirror was published monthly from November, 1933, and changed to Radio & Television Mirror in 1939, Radio Romances in 1943, back to Radio Mirror in 1946 and then to Radio & TV Mirror in 1952. Publication continued until 1977. There were two volumes a year, May-October and November-April. This issue has Shirley Ross on the cover, with articles on Judy Garland, Jerry Cooper, Don Bestor, Bob Burns, Phil Baker. Photos in B&W and sepia tone. Condition: the magazine is considered to be in very good condition, with no missing pages, stains. writing or underlining, and a cover that contains no creases and is attached to the spine. Normal aging discoloration and fading due to oxidation. 90 Pages, 12” x 8.5” GTT #01065 Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing.
