Description: Absolutely stunning, confirmed, Louis Rousselet glass bead, faceted glass/crystal, and faux pearl triple strand collar style statement necklace, signed France on the clasp. I previously had this listed as an unidentified French couture necklace, but just learned from Maison Rousselet that the piece is one of theirs and so re-listing accordingly. The necklace is strung with double twist wire construction, gilt bead caps, and finished with drop beads and a hook clasp. The lampwork glass beads are speckled with a lovely array of shades of brown and tan giving the impression of jasper, while the faux pearls are shades of dark champaign and taupe coated in essence d’orient to give them their fabulous pearly sheen, and the faceted beads are coated with an iridescent finish similar to that on Aurora Borealis stones. One bead - the central bead in the last photo - previously cracked and was repaired. Rare and fabulous piece.
