The radio is battery operated (2 AA batteries, not included) and has an adjustable fitting headband with attached antenna. Dials on the sides include station tuning, on-off and volume adjustment. There is a swtich for AM/FM and a power indicating light. The plastic housing is gold and purple with a black headband, dials and antenna. I tested it for AM/FM reception and volume adjustment, and all seems to work as it should. All parts are intact and there are no dents or dings. Classic vintage design and styling!
