Description: Vintage 1996 LeMond Alpe d’ Huez Road Frame Set - 51 cm Up for sale is a nice 1996 LeMond 1997 Alpe d’ Huez road frame set. Hand built in the U.S.A. with TIG welded True Temper double butted chrome-moly tubes and LeMond forged horizontal dropouts. Taper wall chrome-moly uni-crown fork with forged dropouts. Frame features dual bottle mounts, cable stops, shifter bosses, under bottom bracket cable guides and is machined for recessed caliper mounting. Tange Seiki Passage headset has been cleaned and greased – ready for years of service. Sale includes micro-adjusting alloy seat post and alloy collar. Frame is straight with no bends or dents. Cosmetically the original “Titanium” paint and graphics are in good condition. A number of scuffs and signs of normal use, (too many to list individually but notably on the right top tube and chain stays). Overall I would rate the appearance an 8 out of 10, please see pictures.
