Description: Vintage Japanese Shamisen Doukake Side Cover For Dou (Body) Green W/ Flowers This is a vintage Japanese doukake which is placed on the side of the shamisen body. These are used to protect and add style to the instrument. Made of silk This doukake measures almost 8 1/2" and a bit over 4" (21.5 x 10 cm). Having been used only infrequently and in storage for most of the last half century the fabric remains in very good condition. There is stamped on the back with the size as 五厂大 "go to". Please note the shamisen body seen in the photos is not included in the sale of this listing.
