Description: This is a beautiful and refined Vintage Italian Modern Cubist Horse Silver Sculpture Plaque, repousse electroform silver plated with .925 sterling silver. This artwork depicts a stampeding herd of galloping wild horses, rendered in a cubistic and modernist styling. This piece is reminiscent of the horse paintings by esteemed German Expressionist painter, Franz Marc (1880 - 1916.) Signed, dated and marked: "Ottaviani 75, 925" in the lower right corner. Approximately 16 3/4 x 21 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 8 1/4 x 12 1/2 inches. Very good condition for age. Acquired in Los Angeles County, California.
