Description: This vintage 1970s Hawaiian lei/necklace was handmade with cowrie and Momi* (or Momi-like) shells, and it could also be used as a belt** or garland as its ends are not knotted. It measures about 72 inches in total length, and it is in very good, gently used condition. *I am not a shell expert. Other sellers have listed like items with “Momi” in their descriptions. Please view the pictures. **To fasten the ends, gently thread the 2 cowrie shells on one end, on at a time, through the loop on the other end. Please pay within 3 days after the auction has ended and I will get your item/s to you as soon as possible.
