Vintage Hap Palmer's Can A Cherry Pie Wave Goodbye? Educational Cassette 1991-93

Description: This vintage, educational, children's cassette is adorable! It is in excellent condition, considering how long I have had it! The cassette case has just a tad of scuffing. But, other than that, this item is in super shape! I used this cassette in my kindergarten classroom, and my kids loved it! This item is clean and comes from a smoke free home. Young children learn best by doing, and the songs on this cassette invite active involvement in mastering a wealth of vocabulary. The excitement of being able to move generates fresh motivation to learn concepts of colors, rhyming, numbers, letters and sounds, days of the week, animals, opposites, fantasy/reality, occupation/community helpers, body awareness, telling time on the hour, and following directions. This tape was made my Hap Palmer and has a copyright date of 1991-1993. The cassette consists of 17 songs for learning through music and movement. Side A has 9 songs and Side B has 8. An educational consultant, Angelia Leung, was involved in making this cassette. I like that actual children are singing the songs, which my students enjoyed. Not only does the insert provide lyrics, but it also gives suggestions for each song. Several songs have versions with "extended response time". These versions provide additional time between the words to give children more time to create movements and respond to directions. These versions are also valuable as a lead up to the faster, original versions of the song, or to give children more time to participate in the various activities. Several song versions are also just instrumental, so children can create their own lyrics. Here, children can use their own ideas and sing along with the recorded background music. There are endless variations and creative possibilities with these "create your own lyrics" versions! As a former educator, I purchased several Hap Palmer materials for my classroom. They are high-quality items that kids love! I would highly recommend them to both teachers and parents! This vintage cassette is rare and very hard to find! I have not seen any other cassettes currently selling online. This item would make a wonderful addition to a preschool or kindergarten classroom! It would also be great to have in a household with young children! I am hoping to find it a good home.
