Description: This fantastic hand knit throw or blanket features an Indian Chief in headdress as the central point of this extremely well crafted piece flanked by Thunderbirds and other American Indian symbols. Directly on each side of the chief are arrows which are symbols that are believed to provide protection. On each side of the arrows are Thunderbirds which are a bearer of happiness. Below the Thunderbirds are two arrows. The arrow pointing left symbolizes fending off enemies while the one pointing right is for protection against evil spirits. Arrowheads are also known to be symbol of alertness. Along with excellent quality, detail, and workmanship this was done in the best combination of colors that I have seen on an afghan with this type of theme. The colors are black, white, and red, with a little yellow and turquoise highlights and lastly the artist even got the difficult to match facial tone spot on. Approx size 54”x64”. *Bought from an estate sale in Indiana *Sold as is, please view all photos. I’m happy to send more pics or answer any questions! Thanks for looking.
