Description: Vintage handmade ceramic red glazed apple, 4" diameter x 4.5" tall, signed and dated. This apple features a matte brown stem atop layered red glazes with whitish-pink highlights. A lovely fall decor piece, the apple is signed "AB" and dated "1991." There is a hole on the bottom presumably to make the item hollow and lighter in weight, and four marks that seem to be marks from its firing. It's perfect save for a tiny scratch plus tiny nicks on the stem -- see pictures. Living in Wisconsin, this is now (September-October) prime apple-picking season, and this one makes me want to head over to Barthels for some Honeycrisp.
