Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Vintage Folk Art. Nice vintage Scherenschnitte scissor cut paper Lords Prayer. Incredible workmanship went into this. This was made 1990. Scherenschnitte was the German method of hand cutting paper with scissors into an intricate pattern or scene that has been done for over 100 years. This is a vintage piece as mentioned. It was done after an antique and was produced in the US. It has a label on the back explaining the method, stating hand done, dated 1990. It has the initials of the artist RW in pencil on the front. It is white paper cut into a Lord's Prayer pattern and laid down over blue paper and framed under glass. is in its original frame. The detail is amazing for scissor cut. The viewing area of the Scherenschnitte itself is about 13" x 10". Overall measures about 22" x 18" ( measurements include the frame). Look at pictures as they are part of description.
