Description: Vintage Hand Painted 1955 Red Wing Round Up pattern cup and matching saucer. You're bidding on a cup and saucer in Red Wing's 1955 coveted "Round Up”pattern. This is the cousin of the “Chuck Wagon” pattern which is often mixed and matched. Very collectible. This highly sought after design is hand painted featuring a cowboy sitting on a fence next to a cactus. Cowboy and cactus on opposite sides of the cup. Speckled, oatmeal color. Both are in very good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Very nice. These will be well packed and insured. I have other pieces in this pattern available. Red Wing Potteries (Red Wing, Minnesota) made beautiful, stylish dinnerware from 1935 until it closed in 1967. Initial offerings were bright, solid-colored pieces and were one of the most well known dinnerware brands of the era. Hand painted patterns predominated from the 1940's through the 1960's at Red Wing. In 1967, when the company closed, it was the only commercial pottery company in the United States still hand painting dinnerware.
