Description: I thought these were unbranded, but I just noticed the faint brand on one side of the head. It's hard to read, but it says "Grant Western Germany". These were sold by retailer W.T. Grant, a store we shopped in when I was very young. They're also marked "Alloy-Steel", "Drop-Forged", and "Made in West Germany".Length is 9-1/2", maximum useful jaw capacity is about 1-3/4".The surface has darkened with age, and there are some small signs of wear on the jaw serrations (see pics), but overall these are in fine shape, with no damage. The 5-position slip joint is solid and tight. There are no personalizations. The handles have an interesting and attractive grip pattern. This is a well-made tool, I'd guess from the '50s or '60s.
