With this knowledge one can assume this item is at least 80 years old.The term "ges gesch" is abbreviation for gesetzlich geschützt and is the German equivalent of a trademark, copyright, or patent as seen in the U.S. The translation literally means "legally protected".The original shipping box is included and shows the name of the shipper and the receiver on the original shipping label.
