Description: Vintage gilt brass or bronze faucet or spout, French style, in the form of a cherub or putto (no wings) with arms raised up, measuring 8-1/2" high not including the threaded part at the bottom x 4-1/2" wide across the upraised hands, with acanthus leaf motif on the top of the spout, the actual opening on the spout is 11/16" in diameter, the actual opening of the threaded pipe part measures 11/16" in diameter, unmarked but possibly by Sherle Wagner, condition: overall wear to the gilt finish, has plaster remnants on the underside, just the spout, no handles or other fittings, previously owned, sold as found, from a local estate.
