Description: Fraunfelter Thermo-Proof (insulated and very heavy for its size!) Brown and gilded lustrous teapot. Flaws as pictured: after a wash, some haziness remained on the gilded areas. I didn't want to use anything that might scratch the gilding further. There are some gilded areas that are worn from use, and there are two small chips to the finish at the mouth of the spout. No other chips or cracks visible. I have not tested the glaze or gilt for lead and would recommend you do that if you plan to use the teapot - standard practice for a piece of this age, which I think is early 1940s. Stands approximately 5.5" tall and measures 10ish inches tip to tip. Holds 24 ounces (4 cups). Will be painstakingly wrapped and shipped via USPS priority, fully insured.
