Description: Vintage Framed Watercolor Coastal Landscape This watercolor features a typical scene along coastal waterways of Northeast Florida. Bare wind blown trees with a small row boat tied along the shore. Features blues, varying shades of brown & gray. Signed in lower right MW Thorne.....note, I'm not positive about the initials but that's my best guess. Measures 21.5"w x 17.75"t Framed under glare free glass. Frame has a lovely blue inset which highlights the blue in the painting. This was purchased at the estate sale near Jacksonville, FL by a collector of are by Florida and Georgia coastal artists. Vintage painting in lovely frame with minor wear to the frame. Note, the paper backing shows that it was likely hung on an exterior wall of a coastal home which had some moisture issues. The water stains do not appear to have affected the painting.
