Description: Walter “Tube “ Dawson 1882-1955 was from Putnam, Illinois. This decoy has the extra deep V shaped body so is thicker bodied than my other mallard of his. This well hunted over hollow bodied decoy is 16 and 3/8 inches long, 7.5 inches tall excluding the weight and weighs 2 lbs 1 oz with weight attached. At some point this decoy was repainted by Helen Hageman. Helen was a go to painter for many hunters to repaint their well used decoys. Appears a neck crack repair was done likely before Hagemans repaint. Please see pics for overall condition.
