Description: We got this from a collection of tools from a relative. I know he collected old woodworking tools, but this appears to be something that he was in the process of setting up to use. The wooden knobs appear original but you can see in the pictures their original finish has been stripped and the front knob is splitting. The metal has a significant amount of surface rust but very little pitting. I tried to date it but couldn't find any markings that absolutely nailed it down. Seems to be late fifties to sixties which makes sense for my relative. This could be original to him. Blade is pretty sharp and we relatively close to being set up correctly to plane. Will make a fun display piece or a pretty good bench plane with a little work. I would say this is a 9 inch bench plane.
