I am guessing it can be rubbed/polished out. I have no way to test this unit but it does power up and platter moves when the tonearm is moved. Tonearm does track on a 33RPM record I have. This does have a Shure V15 cartridge as shown in the pictures. This comes from my parent's estate. I have removed the cover and platter from the turntable. I also locked the 3 locking screws per the included original instruction manual. All items will be well packaged (with the tonearm locked and taped in place). Shipping is in the Continental US only.
