Description: Here is a mixed lot of 14 training booklets prepared by Interstate Training Service and bound in a single notebook. They cover the principles, maintenance, repair and rebuilding of Cummins diesel engines. There is no publication date on the booklets, but there are several copies of shop forms in them that reference dates in the late 1950's to the mid 1960's. Each booklet is designated as part of one of two training courses: "Principles, Maintenance and Repair of Cummins Diesel Engines Home Study Course 101"--this is also the title on the notebook. "Maintenance, Repair and Rebuild of Cummins Diesel Engines Home Study Course 302 Part 1".The booklets are numbered and each one covers a different topic. While the numbers are sequential, it appears the original owner intermingled the two courses to suit their own needs. There is no section 14 and the booklets end with no. 15. Since there is no index, I have included a photo of the face page of each booklet. Each booklet has holes for notebook placement, but is held in place within the notebook by a single tension wire, making them easy to remove. Each section has service information, photographs, diagrams, etc. I have also included photos of a few page samples. The cover of the notebook is worn and soiled with marks and is starting to separate--see 3rd photo. The pages of the booklets have minor soiling with minimal fraying and folds, and are very readable. Some pages have extensive pencil and pen notes and calculations in blank areas. See high resolution photos for more and use the magnify feature.
