Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - Although the manual wind movement runs and the date wheel rolls over at approximately 11 pm the minute and seconds hands have become dislodged. A complete overhaul is required.***********This vintage Cronel, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a matte black "SWISS MADE" signed dial that's in decent condition and the lume on the dial emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light. The black bezel, which shows wear and rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents nicely. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear and brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SWISS MADE WATERPROOF SHOCKRESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL BACK" with "CRONEL" followed by "GUARANTEED,""5 ATM TESTED" and "10070" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "STROUN BROS LTD" followed by "SWISS." The crystal, which shows streaking on its underbelly, needs to be replaced. The 23 jewels Swiss stamped manual wind movement runs and the date wheel rolls over at approximately 11 pm. This movement does not have a semi-quickset date function. While the time can be set and the brassed, non-screwdown crown winds buttery smooth the minute and seconds hands have become dislodged. After winding the crown 20 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 34 hour power reserve period. A complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm.
