Description: INVENTORY REDUCTION SALE Cardboard display box that holds a 2 1/4 ounce tube of Carbona brand Shoe Whitener, made by the Carbona Products Co., NY, NY. The tube originally cost 10 cents in the store. Box is undated, but based on the box graphics, its price and the shoes the product was meant to keep clean and white, my guess is that is from the late 1940's. Box measures 4 3/4" x 2" x 1 1/4" and the tube fits in the box. Tube has been previously used and the whitening paste has turned hard in the tube. The box says there is also a mohair applicator and I found it in the box-it is brown, unused and has a corner removed. The box is in outstanding condition. This product also came in an applicator bottle and although hard to tell, I believe another ebay seller does have that product-at a much higher total price. I am the only one with the box, tube and applicator.
