Circa 1940's Art Moderne geometric brooch of faux tortoise shell acrylic or lucite with brass banding, 3" by 1 3/8" molded clear amber colored plastic- the interior striations look like they were created by drizzling dark brown opaque paint in the acrylic. The brass strapping has an old lacquer finish that shows wear. Pin finding is original and the brooch is in good condition. The design and size give it a lot of impact and drama- great on a lapel, as a collar pin, on a belt, on a handbag or beret.
