Description: As a child in the 1950s I attended every yearly Houston Fat Stock Show and Rodeo. Because my father did many of the ads and commercial art for the Fat Stock Show and Rodeo program and my Grandfather was a prominent attorney in Houston both were members of the rodeo Press Club and so had access to the advantages offered by this. Aside from drinks and socializing in the Press Club one of the advantages was they got to take family (me} into the club area where I got to personally meet the guest star of that year's rodeo. Each of many years in a row I would be given an autographed, silver halide, wet process photograph of that year's star by the star when I met them in person. I'm not 100% sure of the year that Gail Davis (Annie Oakley) was at the rodeo, but I sure remember meeting her and how excited I was. She was a heroine of mine. It was a really big deal to meet her and have her hand me an autographed photo. I distinctly recall what a really nice lady she was to me. Since the TV series she starred in as legendary sharp-shooter Annie Oakley only ran for three years, 1954-1957 it had to be one of those years. Please take a look at the other items I have listed on eBay. Thanks.
