Description: I am assuming this was either my grandfathers or great-grandfathers based on that I know my grandfather worked for either the Chicago PD or correctional system in some form. However the brass buttons/pins in the hat supposedly date back to late 1800's. If this is my grandfather's he was born in 1901 so assuming he was in the PD after the war my guess is this is from somewhere between 1920's-1950's. If it was my great-grandfathers'.... no clue. The pictures show the measurements the best I could do. It looks like the sweat bad section is a little out of shape but I would guess that that could be reshaped over time. I don't see any rips/tears on the cap exterior but there is wear on the sweatband. Overall it seams in really great shape ** Please note that I am not doing this as a business. I am slowly trying to liquidate my family’s things. If there was possibly any sentiment to it, they saved it. This has been in my family for ages. ** All items are as is, ifyou have questions or need more information or pictures, please email me.
