Description: Vintage Bennington Potters Dione Lucas "Potage Maison" Trivet / Wall Hanging in very good used condition. There is a small chip in the side (see pics). Dione Lucas was a revolutionary in the culinary world. As the first female graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in France, she went on to be the first woman to have a televised cooking show in the world. Amongst breaking many barriers, her love of French cooking inspired the legendary Julia Child to carry on her legacy. Eventually she moved to the US from the UK and opened several restaurants in New York City. Later in life, she moved to Vermont to be closer with her sister, hence the collaboration with Bennington. This is indeed a rare and unique piece, also a piece of living history. Thank you for looking and please feel free to reach out with any questions!
