Description: Untitled Document Vintage Basketville Putney Vermont Hand Painted Wooden Picnic Basket Box Purse This vintage Basketville Putney Vermont hand painted wooden picnic basket box purse dates from the 1960s It is made of a hand woven wooden basket weave tall picnic basket shape, with a colorful hand painted village town buildings design around the bottom and a glued decoupage personal hobbies, golf, bowling, sewing, cooking paper and 3D raised designs on the top lid. This charming custom hand made handbag novelty picnic basket purse has a wooden handle, hinged top wood lid with no closure, an inside mirror, embroidered ducklings patches, woven trim edging along the inside top, unlined and a "Basketville Putney Vermont" stamp on the wooden bottom. The purse measures 9 1/2 inches tall, 8 inches wide and 4 inches across. It is in good condition, gently used, with some scratches and a missing miniature bowl decoration from the top lid (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of novelty purse basket folk art!
