Description: Plaque in a larger format with the profile of an antique 1931 Audi 4 door sedan, very nicely detailed in a pewter colorsteel alloy. Crests of the German Automobile Club ADAC and the organizing regional club on the lower sides of theplaque. Some very minute nicks on the plaque from storage. Size: 5" (12,8 cm) wide and 2 1/2" (6,5 cm) high.These German made original historic event plaques were ordered in a very limited number by a car club or a regionalsection of the ADAC (German Automobile Club, comparable to AAA). These events included rallies, time trials, clubmeets etc. on a specific date. The quantities produced depended on how many participants signed up for a specificevent, which rarely ever exceeded a total number of 50. The design and workmanship of these plaques is outstandingand the quality exceeds any car-plaques made today. Since most of these plaques are now over 40 years old, you willfind some colors (as the deep royal blue and others), which are not even produced today because of environmentalconcerns in the production process.
