Description: This is a very pretty clear glass oil lamp, 11" tall. I am not well versed in miniature lamps--I have only collected them. The wick can be turned up--it is workable. The only problem I see with the lamp is the crack in the umbrella of the lamp chimney. The crack is smooth to the touch--it will not break easily--not a break that runs the full length of the lamp. I had not been aware of the crack until I photgraphed it--not visible unless you are looking for it. Very pretty and unusual . The base is grey--I don't know what kind of metal it is. The chimney is original I think. Sorry that my picture of the crack isn't better. (Last 2 pictures)
