Description: (Price Lowered 1/02/2025) We Combine Shipping to Save You $$$... …so Check Out Our Other Items! :-) Vintage / Antique Hammer Head Wood Handled Adjustable Monkey Wrench This is one of several we've helped our neighbor sell. Her father (born in the late 1800's) was a Texas Railroad Worker around the time when this wrench would've been new. It's been in her garage for literally decades, and now we're helping her find it a new home. We're unable to make out the maker, however there appears to be a wide diamond stamped above the letters "USA" and "TED" which could be the last part of the word "Patented" or the city of it's maker. Maybe you can make out something more than we could. Measures 15.5 inches in length, has a slightly enlarged hammer head, wood handles, and is just over one inch in thickness. The depth of the jaws is just over 1.75 inches, and the total weight of the wrench is 5 pounds, 3.7 ounces. To help you out with the shipping cost, however, we're setting the Shipping Calculator to only 2 pounds. This wrench has a repair done to the wood handles (bolt going through the wood) which are both a little loose, and it's in need of lubrication to free it up. We're located in northeast Texas, meaning things may surface rust but there's no real "bad" rust. (No scale, no flake, no metal loss.) If you'd like we could add some penetrant prior to shipping, that'd give the penetrant a few days to soak in, in hopes of freeing it up a little sooner for you. However given the condition we expect this is primarily going to be a wall hanger, and as such it's only original "once"...and some folks won't want it changed in any way or form, so we're not doing anything to it until the buyer asks us to.
