Description: Offered is a Vintage Alva Museum HUGE gorgeous Egyptian Goddess Isis 16" gold Necklace IOB Magical!Many pieces of Egyptian jewelry are highly symbolic, and this piece is no exception. The ancient original of this pectoral necklace was made of hammered and engraved gold. It was found in a royal tomb of the 6th Century BC (making it contemporaneous with the Egyptian 26th Dynasty, the Saite Period, 663-525 BC) at Nuri in the Sudan. What you are being offered is an authorized, copyrighted reproduction made of gold electroplated metal from the original in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, by Alva Museum Replicas, Inc. of Long Island City, New York. The design of this pectoral consists of the kneeling figure of the Goddess Isis with outstretched wings. In her hands she is holding two sacred symbols, the sistrum (a rattle) and the ankh, signs of life. The symbol on her head represents a seat which is the hieroglyph of her name.
