Description: This vintage teapot from Alcock, Lindley & Bloore (1919-1972) is a wonderful British addition to any collection. Made in England during the mid-century modern era (1950-1959), it features the traditional Brown Betty round shape with a glossy finish and solid brown color. One of the companies making Brown Betty teapots in the Trent-on-Stoke area, these teapots are known for using the area's red clay that retains heat, the undercut top collar that holds the lid in place when pouring, and a vent hole that goes through the center of the lid. The teapot has a capacity of 24 ounces (3 cups) and measures 7.5 inches in length, 4.5 inches in height (with lid), and 4.7 inches in width. The teapot is an original piece, has a printed backstamp, and weighs 1 pound and 1.4 ounces. This Alcock, Lindley & Bloore teapot is a great choice for anyone who loves vintage pottery and wants to add a traditional piece to their kitchen or collection. The teapot is in very good used condition. There are no cracks and the spout is completely intact. There are two small chips on the rim of the lid and a few flea bites (see close up pictures). There are a few white flecks in the glaze - the spots are smooth and you cannot feel any disruption to the glaze. Please review the pictures as part of the description. Thank you!
