Description: This is a classic, beautiful vintage 1960s Brown Betty Teapot Smaller One Cup Size Alcock, Lindley and Bloore Ltd (ALB) Vintage Farmhouse Kitchen Made in England. The base is accented with stripes and a glossy finish. Made in Staffordshire England, the teapot has a glossy dark brown background with bands of teal, green and beige. This is a very cute individual, one cup sized teapot.Original Brown Betty teapots are distinguished by their red Etruria Marl clay, and a rich brown manganese glaze known as Rockingham. The clay is unique to Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire England and after its discovery in 1695, the British pottery industry sprung up around these clay seams.This teapot measures approximately 7" in length handle to spout, and 3 1/2" in height and holds one cup.
