Gevaert established in Belgium in 1890 was another giant in the manufacture of films and photographic paper. Agfa and Gevaert merged in 1964 to form the company Agfa-Gevaert, adding a formidable presence in photo goods worldwide at one time. This Agfa-Gevaert Porcelain Metal Sign was fixed outside a camera store in India in the 1970s. The sign shows small patches of chipping here and there otherwise in good condition.
