Description: This is a very nice vintage, hand tailored, 1970s-does-1940s polka dot suit. It has the classic 1940s a-line skirt with a slight swing to it and a big contrasting linen collar on the jacket. Not sure what the suit fabric is made of…it is woven and has lovely drape. It is definitely not synthetic so maybe a cotton-rayon blend? It is a two-sided fabric-please see photo. There are three 1940s style buttons down the front and a sewn in waistband to give the jacket shape. The suit is fully lined. This charming little suit is in excellent condition other than some faint yellowing on the inside of the collar and a little hole. The lone tag just says 46, which does not correspond to any measurements. Best guess, this is a ladies 14. Please check measurements against a suit of known size to assess fit. Measurements: Jacket - Pit to pit laying flat measures 20”, arm length from shoulder seam to cuff 23.75”, collar seam to hem 22.5”, arm circumference at bicep 13.5”, cuff circumference 11”. Skirt - Waist 32”, hip 46”, length from waist to hem 25.75”
