Description: Vintage 1970-74 Fender Jazz Bass Neck - Black Blocks & Binding! Vintage original (4-bolt) Fender Jazz Bass neck from the early 1970s. No visible neck stamp (very common), but these black block necks were only made by Fender from late 1970 until early 1974, so it’s correct for all Jazz Basses made in that era. The neck has the typical finish wear, dings and scratches that one would expect from a 50+ year old neck. The neck is in great shape structurally and feels awesome. No cracks or any issues. The nut was replaced long ago with a brass one. The original string tree retainer is included.This neck plays wonderfully. I was able to get very nice, low action all across the board with every note ringing out loud and clear. It is nice and straight and the truss rod works good with lots of room for adjustment. The frets are original and show some wear (as with almost all necks of this age), but it plays great.
