Given that this watch is more than 30 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1990 Seiko 'Diver's 200m' day-date watch has a lovely matte black "Japan 5H26 7AOL R" signed dial and the lume, which emits a soft glow in darkness, remains fully intact. The bezel, which shows wear and ratchets counterclockwise, presents nicely. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SCUBA DIVER'S (BATTERY SB-AN/SR920SW) 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 00 01 02 03" with "SEIKO 5H26-7A09 AO JAPAN D 010123 STAINLESS STEEL" stamped along the inner edge. The crystal shows gouges/scratching and dust/debris on its underbelly.The hacking quartz movement keeps accurate time with both the day and date wheels rolling over as they should. A new battery was installed in June 2023. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the screwdown crown to the first position and then rotating it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The quickset day function works in precisely the same manner with the exception of turning the crown counterclockwise. Given that this watch is more than 30 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 42 mm excluding the crown/crown guards, approximately 45 mm including the crown/crown guards and approximately 22 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 11 mm. The sunken crystal lies slightly below the top of the bezel. The original Seiko all stainless steel bracelet shows minor stretch. Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.
