The artistic beauty and fine craftsmanship are a tribute to two of the most respected names in ceramics, Lenox China and Edward Marshall Boehm. This plate is lavishly decorated in 24 Karat Gold, handcrafted illustrating a specific bird species in its natural habitat.This plate measures approx 10.75" in diameter and does come with a certificate of authenticity. Mr. Edward Marshall Boehm specifically intended that a series of his designs be executed on fine china. He passed away before he could see this happen but Lenox helped fulfill his wish, introducing the first Lenox/Boehm limited edition plate in 1970. This particular plate was introduced in 1972 and presents the Mountain Bluebirds. The back of the plate has the print of what is being presented, the designer, Lenox's Stamp, the name of Bird Species and Year the plate was introduced.
