Description: ***********The manual wind movement gains about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 43 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.*********** This vintage 1970's Sheraton, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a glossy black "TA5" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear and the original lume emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light. The black fat font bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "INCABLOC | STAINLESS STEEL BACK | WATERPROOF GUARANTEED" with "15 ATM" and "TESTED" stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced as it shows swirling and haziness. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches I put up for sale the case back on this watch is torqued too tight for me to remove. The manual wind movement runs strong, albeit fast, and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. This movement does not have a semi-quickset date function. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 25 full revolutions the movement gained about 3 minutes by the end of the approximate 43 power reserve period. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm. A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 13 high magnification pictures carefully, which were taken in natural light and from various angles, as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided. Thanks for looking!***********The manual wind movement gains about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 43 hour power reserve period.
