Vintage 1970 Asian Oil Painting Chinese Junks Sunset Seascape Framed Signed

Description: This listing is for the original oil painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told its history. It appears to be dated “70” and signed with a signature that I have not been able to decipher. There were quite a few vintage Asian items in the sale and I think that is where was likely purchased. The boats look like Chinese junks to me but I think that the artist and possibly the boats are likely from another country and the boats might also. I leave it to the buyer to decide who painted it and where it was painted. It was framed as you see it when I purchased it. The frame measures close to 24 ½ by 34 3/8 inches. The area of painting exposed by the frame measures close to 19 ¼ by 29 ¼ inches. The framed painting weighs close to 8 pounds 5 ounces. It painted on some kind Masonite type board. The paint is still relatively fresh so there is some reflection from the lights in the photos. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The frame shows some separation at the corners but I believe that is the way that it was made. It feels sturdy and not likely to fall apart. There are a few small imperfections to the white paint of the frame. The painting is in excellent condition with no damage. The frame and painting might benefit from a light cleaning. As it is, when the painting rests upon the lower edge on the frame, there is a tiny a gap at the top. That could be remedied by putting a little of something between the bottom of the board and the frame to raise it up a little. Otherwise, painting and frame are fine and as shown. I guarantee this painting to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure. I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied. I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation. I frequently purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often but not always ship the same or the next day. Often, I have a double wall box custom made for larger items and that might result in a short delay.
