Description: Welcome. Offered for sale is a: Vintage, 1968, Redline Hot Wheels Custom Volkswagen (VW). This is the iconic Beetle aka Bug. VERY RARE Spectraflame HOT PINK in color. NUCLEAR PINK, that is…not Creamy Pink aka Lavender…I have had several of those over the years…this is the much rarer, late-run Hot Pink variation, which is extremely scarce…and this is the only one owned in 20+ years of serious collecting. White interior. Clear glass. Made in the United States. EXCELLENT, moderately played with condition: a C8 in my opinion. Clean but not quite to Near Mint in grade due to some chipping to body edges, as seen in photos. NOTE: the sliding sunroof is partially damaged, as pictured. Quite clear a finish, only very minor toning…hot pink is often much more splotchy than this. Displays incredibly! Priced accordingly; a near mint/C9 example would command triple my asking price. A very respectable example of a very rare variant. Base has dulled a bit. The original (not repo wheels, guaranteed: taken off a dead mint, unplayed with original Silhouette to give this one an edge on display) Redline wheels are perfect.
