Vintage 1947 Leedy Broadway drum set

Description: Vintage 1947 Leedy Broadway drum set. This set is pretty much complete with the exception of a seat and cymbals. It is also from what I can tell mostly all original including the heads, with the exception of the heads on the snare which were replaced and tuned by a friend for this sale. The drums are as follows: 26" X 14 " bass drum, 13" X 9" tom,11" X 7 " tom and a 14" X 6.5" snare. It is a matching set of Leedy Black and Gold Duco. All the hardware is original Leedy and is very clean. This is a great old vintage set. I acquired this from an older friend of mine when he was downsizing. I am not a drummer but I got it to put in my home studio that never came to fruition. Now it's my turn to downsize and I will not have room for it. It has been sitting in boxes and cases in a climate controlled smoke free room in my house for years. I called a drummer friend of mine who LOVES old drums and he came over and checked them out. He replaced the heads on the snare and tuned it. He also checked out all the other drums and said it was a great vintage set and ready to sell. He is the one who told me it was a 1947 Leedy Broadway set, so if you have any "drum specific" questions I will ask him and get back to you with the answers. I can also take specific pictures of anything you would like and send them to you. I have been looking at what similar sets have been selling for and because of the condition and originality of this set I am asking $2,250.00 or best offer. Even thought I could possibly make more by parting this out, I really think the set is too nice to break up. Because it would be so expensive to ship I am listing this as a local pickup only.
