Description: This vintage 1944 dining room menu from Prior's Colonial Inn is a wonderful piece of history. The paper has held up remarkably well over the years, providing a glimpse into the dining options and specials available on May 6th of that year. The menu features a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts at the price they were at during the time. The text on the menu and specials sheet is perfectly legible and the colors are not as faded as usually to be expected for paper of this age. The menu was laminated which helped tremendously in terms of preserving the piece. There are stains on the menu presumably from coffee. The plastic from the lamination is starting to peel a bit on the corners as well. The menu when closed measures about 10” tall and 6.5” wide.
