Description: Offering a vintage early 1940's SHURE Model 55 "Fatboy" Dynamic microphone. The 55 is hands down thee most recognized and iconic vintage microphone ever made. The Unidyne Model 55 body was said, at the time, to have a ‘futuristic look’, but it was actually influenced by the Art Deco movement and, specifically, the front grill of the 1937 Oldsmobile Six convertible coupe! This early 1940's model has been kept in relatively nice condition with very little signs of use/wear. Has the original factory element producing strong output. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) The maker's badge has faded from handling, new frontal screen cloth, and excellent stand threads. A brand new 5' Amphenol to male XLR cable is included, as well as the heavy-based desk stand shown. (We can swap the XLR plug for a 1/4" male phono plug at no charge if you prefer.) ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. ** ** WE BUY OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY REGULARLY UPDATED **** Click on my eBay username for details.
