Vintage 1920's 30's Lyon & Healy Uke Flamed Koa Wood 4 string soprano Ukulele

Description: BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE 1920's LYON & HEALY KOA WOOD 4 STRING SOPRANO UKULELE MADE IN CHICAGO. This is a Very very cool old uke. I would guess it is from the 1920'S TO 1930'S . Rare collectors uke, awesome display item!!! It has a 13 3/4" scale it is a soprano it is made of Flamed Koa wood some of the nicest flame Koa I have every seen on any instrument, the fingerboard is rosewood ? the lower bout is 6 1/2" upper bout is 5" all are approx. measurements. The back has one tight 4" long un repaired crack. And it appears that the headstock was repaired long ago see pictures for that repair, the headstock repair is solid & good. Best I can tell it is all solid woods. I must make one more comment about the wood it is beautiful I am a life long woodworker. I made my living building all kinds of wood items and this is some of the nicest wood I have ever seen. This is a very old instrument. The repairs or cracks I have mentioned are just what I have seen there might possibly be other needed repairs I have not seen but you are buying this as is. If you want to examine it here at my shop that is always a option. It is also missing the rosette around the sound hole. I think it was a piece of pearl or plastic when comparing it to other instruments. Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this instrument. The uke is playable and looks like it was played carefully no real signs of wear, but it is old and comes with no guarantees and no refunds all sales are final .
