Description: Vintage antique believed to be made in the mid 1800’s from Maine, child’s snow sled, all original with early hand forged iron runners and designed trim. Exceptional condition for it’s age and extremely well made and still solid. The sled has the original old paint with multiple colors, red, black, green, gold, yellow pin stripes. Extremely well made with approximately 1” thick wood beside the forged iron work. The old paint shows wear and loss which adds greatly to the patina of the sled. On each side there appears to be a piece of wood that extends just underneath the main seat that has the bottom portion lost on each side . The writing appears to read “KINNEY MAC” not sure. Beautiful piece for that special collector and spot for conversations. I have never seen one like this and I am always on the lookout for vintage children’s sleds.
