As far as what kind of green stone, it is hard to tell. There are many different kinds of green gemstones. The possibilities could be green sapphire, tourmaline, diopside, not likely an emerald or tsavorite. I believe those are lots of little diamonds around the green gem stone. This truly stunning piece measures a touch over 6 and 1/2. It is vintage and likely a mid-century piece. The other pieces in the collection or high-end and so its provenance is legit.
