Description: Estate find! Vintage 1930's Great Lakes Steel Corporation Employee ID badge. Great Lakes Steel was located from the 1930's on Zug Island, Michigan where the Detroit River and the River Rouge meet. This is an earlier badge with a four digit employee number, 2282. Made of nickel plated brass. Oval in shape. It has a standard roll type clasp. The patent number 2066960 is stamped on the pin clasp. It measures approximately 2" wide by 1-1/2" tall. Excellent estate vintage condition. Pin clasp functions as it should. Please take a look at the photos as they describe the badge best.
