Description: Up for sale is a Victorian era Trade Card issued as advertising Jersey Coffee as manufactured by Dayton Spice Mills Co, in Dayton, Ohio. In the early 1900’s, the Dayton Spice Mills Company had a good reputation for their spices, baking powder and coffee. They became established in 1885, their specialties were their brand name Jersey Coffee, Jersey Spices and Jersey Baking Soda. There are no creases or tears present. Card measures 4 3/4 by 3 1/8 inches. The photolithographic image on the card is a view of Salt Lake City in Utah. The two main structures shown on this card are first the Salt Lake Temple with its two spires which began construction in 1855, completion was in 1893. As of this photo image, as noted on the back of the card, the Salt Lake Temple was not yet finished being constructed. The other structure with the domed roof center right is the Salt Lake Tabernacle. That building was opened in 1867. Both buildings still exist today. Shipping is free within the United State.
